Regardless of the backup software you use, and the methods you use, you should also think on how you want to rotate your tapes or medias, like daily/weekly/monthly. I can't remember a single time I noticed my computer behaving slower or unreliable in anyway due to their software. Assuming of course that your internet connection has good upload speeds, their servers can keep up.
